FUNDRAISING
I Pastor Arlene B. Davis have beeen pastoring for 26 years in the city of Naranja, Florida (Miami), our congregation consist of about 100 peoples, children included. This is an outreach ministry in which we have struggles. Early on, I asked God to  give me the people that no one else wanted. As a young woman, I walked the streets and preached to any and everyone who needed to hear a word from God. I started out on my own and through my faithfulness and persistence, doors began to open. We shared a church at the beginning  with a small Spanish church, alternating nights of service. We evenually moved out on our own. Since we've been in this area, we have really made a difference in the communtiy. we provide counseling,  outdoor events, and also, through our food ministry, feed approximately 400 peoples a month. We as a small church, have been making great strides in trying to make our dream come true. We've been incorparted since 1987, we have our 501 C 3, and have made major purchases. After Hurricane Andrew, we started up-rooted and left without a church for 3 1/2 years. During that time. we fellowshipped with another church 30t miles away. Many members rode the bus, carpooled,  and rode the metrorail thereafter, having to walk 10 more blocks to get to the church. We stayed together in spite of the cicumstances. While we were there, God yet added to the ministry and our membership steadily increased. We began to use what we call "Crazy Faith!"  We made a purchase of 2 lots of  land on which we also purchased a double wide trailer we converted into a church. We've also purchased 2 more lots adjacent to our church, hired an architect to draw up plans for what we are believing God for, we have been approved by building and zoning to build, but now because of the economic status of most of our members and the surrounding area, we haven't moved much further than this. The necessary steps have been made, but it seems that we are at a stand-still. We remain faithful, we haven't stopped trying. We've exhausted our resources and it seems as if there is nowhere else to turn. This letter is another act of faith, we are very sincere and are in a desperate need of help. Our congregation has grown out of the double-wide trailer that we're in. Others would like to join but there is simply not enough space for many more. We do realize that one key to this is expanding membership to increase the finances, but right now, that's not even possible. Whether assistance is given as to a donation of supplies and/or materials, or a donation toward our building fund, it would bring us closer to our goal. Included are several newspaper clippings of articles pertaining to the progress that our church has made regarding building and zoning.
We sincerely love the Lord and would love to make it so that others can also come in and be blessed.

Sincerely,
Pastor, Dr. Arlene B. Davis.
